A really fun organic social post created for Cadbury, in which I modelled the chocolate cube, texture and setting up lighting of the chocolate, and animated the chocolate cube to create a seamless loop video. The post has reached 2.5 million views on Tiktok within a week, and 273k on instagram, the social performance and interaction was extremely well.

Here's some BTS shots how I modelled and set up the layout to make this animation work as a loop

Modelling the cube and added Cadbury logo on top of the chocolate

UV unwrapped the model, added image textures and surface imperfection (Diffuse, Roughness, Normal, Displacement map) to the cube. Also set up a mini studio to light the cube for style frame, before moving forward to animation.

At first, I tried to add a couple of cloner chocolate bar to fill up the scene. However, it wouldn't work for a loop animation with this layout.

Then I tried the golden ratio layout which works perfectly for the loop animation. However, as the chocolate cube is not a perfect square, it was challenging to match the cube position on the first frame and last frame. I had to adjust the position in After Effects after rendering the animation from Cinema 4D.
